UK Challenge announce charity partners as Beefy’s Charity Foundation and Sporting Force

About Sporting Force

Sporting Force is a registered sports charity that supports ex-service personnel throughout the UK. As well as offering a route into civilian employment within the professional sports industry, they provide education, exercise and social events to help veterans and their families by relieving mental health and social isolation. Promoting inclusion and togetherness, they adapt all opportunities to the needs of disabled veterans.

“We have been fortunate to have had numerous teams compete in the UKC as guests of MPE, which has changed the lives of many of those that participated. Our small teamwork with hundreds of veterans across the UK, who have given many years of service to their country and often more but struggle with PTSD or simply reintegrating into society. This partnership will enable us to better serve many of those that served us. ” – Tommy Lowther

About Beefy’s Charity Foundation

Beefy’s Charity Foundation supports 4 individual charities targeted at brain tumours, Batten’s Disease, Juvenille Diabetes and Blood Cancer UK. The Charity was established in 1985 by “Beefy” himself many years ago when Leukemia was a death sentence to many.

“I am delighted that our foundation will be one of the UKC charity partners this year and we look forward to working closely with Dave, his team and all the competing companies to help put some fun into raising funds. This has always been something very personal to me ever since my first long walk which seems to make it a great fit with the UKC” – Lord Botham

How will the UK Challenge help raise funds?

Teams in the UK Challenge are able to join in the fundraising efforts for both our charities by integrating participation into their workplace CSR programs or by creating dedicated charity initiatives. Over the years, the UK Challenge has raised over £5 million for charity causes.

The partnership with both ‘Sporting Force’ and ‘Beefy’s Charity Foundation’ will allow participating teams and organisations to support projects that are easily identified and aligned with the values of the UK Challenge.

The UK Challenge is delivered and owned by Marco Polo Events (MPE); a company dedicated to providing outdoor team-building opportunities. MPE President and Founder, David Moran, commented.  “Having worked with many great charities and raised millions through the generosity of our clients this year I am more excited than ever to have two organisations that have their founders still in place, both with a passion to make a difference. I look forward to the 2023 event being one of the most memorable and successful from a fund-raising perspective”
