This year the UK Challenge will welcome teams from many of our magnificent public service organisations such as the NHS, military and emergency services to compete against those from some of our finest companies. This initiative is funded and supported by Marco Polo Events and CGI as a way of thanking those that have been working tirelessly throughout the Covid pandemic.
If you and your team would like to be considered for one of the 12 free places at our 2021 UK Challenge, please complete the application below – Letting us know why you are a “Team of Heroes”, and why your team are committed to taking part! – To be eligible, all 6 participants must be working for the NHS, emergency services or military, and able to compete at the UK Challenge between the 29th July and 1st August.

WELCHE UNTERBRINGUNGSMÖGLICHKEITEN GIBT ES FÜR DIE TEAMS?
Each team member will have an individual room, complete with an en suite, WiFi and even heating!
WIE VIELE PERSONEN GEHÖREN ZU EINEM TEAM?
Die Teams bestehen aus 6 Teilnehmern mit der Möglichkeit, einen leitenden Angestellten als 7. zusätzliches Mitglied in das Team aufzunehmen.
WIE HOCH SIND DIE KOSTEN PRO TEAM?
£7,495+vat per team of 6 (+1 senior exec) which includes all accommodation, full catering during the event, key equipment, gala party. Multi team discount is available.
WELCHE KÖRPERLICHEN AKTIVITÄTEN SIND MIT DER VERANSTALTUNG VERBUNDEN?
Exact details of the UK Challenge will not be disclosed until the first evening of the event to maintain a degree of mystery. That said, teams can expect to be running, cycling and canoeing amongst other things!
WELCHES TRAINING MÜSSEN DIE TEAMS ZUR VORBEREITUNG ABSOLVIEREN?
Training is an important part of the UK Challenge and a great way of engaging your wider business in the lead up to the event. Each team will be provided with a comprehensive training guide well in advance of the event to assist with preparations. Our team are available daily to provide additional advice with regular updates on training and preparation.
MÜSSEN DIE TEAMS SPENDENGELDER SAMMELN?
Fundraising ist eine großartige Möglichkeit, das gesamte Unternehmen einzubinden und Ihr Team bei der Veranstaltung zu motivieren, liegt jedoch im Ermessen der einzelnen Teams.
MÜSSEN WIR EINEN LEITENDEN ANGESTELLTEN MITBRINGEN?
Das müssen Sie nicht, aber wir haben eine Bühne für leitende Angestellte zum Networking eingerichtet. Nicht nur das, es ist auch eine großartige Gelegenheit für sie, die Veranstaltung selbst zu erleben, Mitarbeiter kennenzulernen, die sie vielleicht nicht kennen, etwas über das Unternehmen zu erfahren und natürlich zu sehen, wie großartig ihre Teams sind!
WHEN DOES THE EVENT START?
Registration takes place between 10:00 and 14:00.
WELCHE ART VON KLEINBUS WÜRDEN SIE UNS EMPFEHLEN ZU MIETEN?
Ein Fahrzeug, in dem alle 6 (oder 7) Teammitglieder und die Ausrüstung bequem transportiert werden können. (nb. Es gibt eine Begrenzung von 1 Fahrzeug pro Team auf der Bühne)
WIE FIT MUSS ICH SEIN?
The UK Challenge is uniquely designed to test the combined mental, physical and strategic capabilities of individuals in a team environment. However, it is suggested that team members should be capable of comfortably covering a distance of 10km on foot and/or 15km by bike. There will be waterbased activity such as canoeing, but most of all teams should be prepared for long days and challenging missions.
WAS SOLLTE ICH ZU DER VERANSTALTUNG MITBRINGEN?
Bitte beachten Sie das Teamhandbuch. Wir empfehlen jedoch, warme Kleidung, Ersatzschuhe (einschließlich Socken), Insektenschutzmittel, Handtücher usw. mitzubringen. Alles, was Sie speziell für die diesjährige Veranstaltung benötigen, wird Ihnen im Vorfeld mitgeteilt.
WELCHE FRISTEN GELTEN FÜR DIE AUSWAHL DER TEAMS?
We ask that you have your final team selection confirmed 4 weeks before the event. This is due to logistical operations such as ordering your running suits and ensuring caterers are aware of any dietary requirements etc. If you decide to change any team members in those 4 weeks before the event, please inform us ASAP and we will strive to accommodate any changes if possible.
